PROJECT SUMMARY
A major sulphuric acid leak destroyed the previous protective lining in this secondary containment structure at this water treatment plant.
Ultra high pressure water blasting was used to remove the failed lining and prepare and clean the concrete base. Sections of the floor were regraded using Metz 10 epoxy concrete to prevent ponding.
The floor and walls were covered with Metz 33EN-TG & VG epoxy novolacs. Floor surfaces were broadcast with aggregate to provide a slip resistant surface. All surfaces were then sealed with Metz 4HB-EN epoxy novolac coating.
